Job summary

Leidos’ Undersea Systems Division seeks a Lead Engineer to guide advanced maritime technologies from prototype to deployment, delivering critical Navy missions. You will lead a multidisciplinary team across sensor networks, unmanned systems, and subsea platforms, ensuring rigorous engineering practices and system integration excellence.

You will drive the program through design, development, testing, verification and validation, while mentoring engineers and shaping future subsea technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or related fields (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Ocean) or Computer Science/Physics/Math.
• 8+ years of experience with integrated electro-mechanical systems such as autonomous vehicles, unmanned systems, autonomy, communications, and sensing systems.
• 4+ years of experience leading integrated teams.
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide cross-disciplined engineering leadership to deliver an operational maritime program.
• Lead and mentor a matrixed team of engineers through the full product lifecycle.
• Drive technical rigor and engineering discipline to meet customer needs and mission goals.
• Follow systems engineering principles through development, maturation, integration, testing, verification and validation.
