Job summary

BD seeks a seasoned strategist to lead long-range growth initiatives and oversee inorganic growth opportunities across vascular, oncology, and related medical devices markets. You will partner with senior leadership to translate strategy into actionable portfolio decisions and coordinate across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams.

The role requires a deep understanding of medical devices, proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, and strong financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, life sciences, finance, or related field required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive strategy, business development, corporate development, or related experience with leadership in medical devices or related healthcare tech.
• Deep understanding of medical-device markets, transaction dynamics, and product development requirements; experience in peripheral vascular, venous, interventional oncology, biopsy, or adjacent markets preferred.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing growth strategies and building actionable pipelines of inorganic opportunities.
• Experience leading complex opportunity assessments, due diligence, and support for acquisitions, investments, licensing, partnerships, negotiations, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and ongoing refinement of PI’s long-range strategy in collaboration with leadership.
• Translate strategy into portfolio choices, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes across functions.
• Oversee annual strategic reviews and ensure cross-functional alignment across regions and departments.
• Define strategic theses and priority hunting grounds for inorganic growth and partnerships.
• Source and assess acquisition, investment, licensing, and partnership opportunities; build external networks.
• Lead diligence, business cases, and presentation of recommendations to senior leadership.
• Govern governance and operating model for strategy and new business development; manage budget and resources.
