Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Vice President / Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate secure, scalable platform engineering capabilities. You will partner with software teams to improve deployment practices, enable cloud-native workflows, and strengthen platform reliability.

You will contribute to Kubernetes-based development, GitOps, and infrastructure as code across AWS environments, while guiding teams through tooling with Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, Python, and Go.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• Strong experience in platform engineering and DevOps in high-performing teams.
• Experience building Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native environments.
• Deep AWS knowledge (EKS, ECS, RDS, VPC, Secrets Manager, S3, Route53).
• IaC, GitOps, CI/CD with Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, GitHub, GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support scalable platform engineering capabilities.
• Contribute to Kubernetes-based platform development and CI/CD automation.
• Support AWS cloud-native environments with GitOps and IaC.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment practices and reliability.
• Develop tooling with Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, Python, and Go.
