Job summary

Prestige Staffing is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to shape and support scalable cloud infrastructure, automation, deployment tooling, and containerized platforms for a growing tech environment.

You’ll work hands-on to improve infrastructure, automate delivery, and ensure reliability and cost efficiency while collaborating with developers, security, and architects to advance AI-enabled applications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Hands-on with at least one major public cloud (AWS preferred).
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and scalability.

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help shape and support the infrastructure behind a growing technology environment. This person will work across cloud infrastructure, automation, deployment tooling, and containerized platforms, helping create systems that are dependable, scalable, and easy for engineering teams to use.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building things, improving existing environments, and finding better ways to automate infrastructure and software delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Help architect and develop the company’s cloud infrastructure and internal platform capabilities.
• Automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure through Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or comparable tools.
• Administer and continuously improve cloud environments with an emphasis on availability, scalability, performance, and responsible cloud spend.
• Create and maintain automated workflows for application releases, infrastructure changes, and deployments.
• Support and improve CI/CD processes used by development teams.
• Build, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications and supporting infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish repeatable processes for infrastructure configuration, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
• Investigate complex technical issues across cloud infrastructure and production environments.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, security professionals, and other technical partners to improve the overall engineering ecosystem.
• Contribute to infrastructure and platform capabilities that support emerging AI and data-driven applications.
• Look for opportunities to eliminate manual work through automation and improve the overall developer experience.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience working with at least one major public cloud platform; AWS is strongly preferred, though Azure and Google Cloud experience will also be considered.
• Hands-on experience managing production cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or a similar technology.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing or supporting CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure reliability, networking, security, and scalability.
• Experience with scripting or programming, such as Python, Bash, Go, or another comparable language.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with other engineering teams.
