Job summary

Akina Pharmacy seeks a strategic, hands-on VP of Pharmacy Operations to lead end-to-end operations in Sterling, VA. You will own the process from prescription receipt through compounding, dispensing, and fulfillment, and create scalable operating models to support Akina's expansion.

The role requires a strong track record in high-volume pharmacy leadership, focus on regulatory compliance, and a people-first approach to building high-performing teams in an in-person setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive pharmacy operations leadership experience.
• Experience leading high-volume or complex pharmacy operations.
• Direct experience with 503A/503B compounding operations or regulated healthcare production.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end pharmacy operations from receipt to fulfillment.
• Own capacity planning, budgeting, and P&L for the department.
• Partner with Quality & Compliance and PICs to ensure compliant execution.
• Drive scalable operating models and multi-site expansion readiness.
• Build a culture of ownership, execution, and continuous improvement.
