Job summary

Barrington James is seeking a VP of Pharmacy Operations for a fast-growing 503A compounding pharmacy in Northern Virginia.

You will lead end-to-end pharmacy operations from prescription receipt through production planning, compounding, quality control, dispensing and fulfillment, accountable for people, capacity, financial performance and customer experience, in partnership with Quality and Regulatory Compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in progressive pharmacy operations leadership in high volume or complex operations.
• Experience managing managers and driving results across teams.
• Direct 503A/503B compounding operations with sterile and non-sterile exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pharmacy operations from receipt through fulfillment.
• Build the management structure, set accountability and develop leaders across the department.
• Align production planning and priorities with order demand and turnaround.
• Own procurement, inventory, facilities and resources to meet demand profitably.
• Own departmental P&L, operating expenses, labor efficiency, waste and unit economics.
• Translate growth plans into multiyear operating plans and scalable site models.
• Lead the launch and integration of new pharmacy locations.
• Set service standards for patients and providers and fix systemic issues from feedback trends.
