Job summary

Optimal Balance Pharmacy is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead national growth from Houston. The role sits on the executive team, directing pharmacy operations, fulfillment, inventory, and procurement while partnering with Quality, Regulatory and IT to build scalable infrastructure.

You will design KPI systems, drive throughput and efficiency, plan capacity and major investments, and mentor senior leaders.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience at VP/Director level.
Experience scaling high-growth organizations with regulatory requirements.
Experience with high-volume pharmacy operations and compounding is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to design KPIs, executive scorecards and dashboards.
Experience with automation, robotics, pharmacy workflow technology or automated fulfillment systems.
Experience with workforce planning, capacity modeling and forecasting.
Experience managing departmental budgets and capital investments.
Proven ability to build infrastructure ahead of growth.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the operational leadership team across pharmacy operations, fulfillment, shipping, inventory and procurement.
Build a scalable operating structure with clearly defined responsibilities, accountability and decision-making authority.
Establish a comprehensive operating scorecard, KPIs, dashboards and management systems.
Drive improvements in prescription throughput, turnaround time, labor efficiency and service levels.
Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
Partner with Quality, Regulatory and IT to enable automation and technology.
Lead capacity planning across people, facilities, equipment, technology and automation.
