Barrington James seeks a VP of Pharmacy Operations for a high-volume 503A compounding pharmacy in Northern Virginia. You will own the full operations lifecycle from receipt to fulfillment, with P&L accountability and a build-for-scale mandate.

This is a leadership role requiring strategic oversight of new-site launches, automation initiatives, and regulatory compliance under USP standards to sustain growth and exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive pharmacy operations leadership in high-volume or complex setting.
• Direct P&L ownership including labor productivity and unit economics.
• Experience with USP <797/795/800> and state Board requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pharmacy operations performance, turnaround time, and accuracy.
• Build management structure and develop department leaders.
• Own departmental P&L, labor, inventory, procurement, and unit economics.
• Translate growth plans into multi-year operating plans and standardized site models.
• Lead the operational launch and integration of new pharmacy locations.
• Drive automation, technology, and infrastructure initiatives to add capacity.
• Maintain compliant execution with Quality and Compliance and the state Board of Pharmacy.
