Job summary

CARE is seeking a senior leader to deepen relationships with Silicon Valley's wealth and influence and to drive a $100 million two-year fundraising agenda. This role will bridge Resource Development with AI labs, family offices and foundations, shaping CARE's strategy and execution across the Bay Area.

Qualifications

• Deep, established relationships across Bay Area tech, AI and emerging philanthropy circles.
• Senior-level judgment and ability to advise C-suite and Board.
• Strong track record in business development, partnerships or fundraising.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling for high-level leaders.
• Operates with urgency and follows through personally.

Responsibilities

• Build and personally manage a prioritized network of at least 25 funders, technology leaders, family offices, foundations, advisors and connectors who could become CARE's next transformational partners, moving each from first conversation to major commitment alongside Resource Development's channel leads.
• Position CARE as the partner of choice for AI labs and technology companies that want their tools to deliver real-world impact. Broker and steward joint projects with CARE program teams.
• Launch and lead a Bay Area advisory group of 8–12 influential technology and philanthropy leaders who shape CARE's strategy, expand our network and open doors.
• Draw on personal and CARE relationships to turn introductions into substantive conversations with senior leadership and board members.
• Lead the plan for CARE's push in this market, coordinating salons, fireside chats, dinners and trips to see the work firsthand.
