Job summary

Essenti Talent is assisting a client in identifying a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Operations to lead a multi-state 3PL network. The role emphasizes profitability, continuous improvement, and building high-performing teams across warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and value-added services.

The VP will own P&L, establish standards, drive safety and inventory accuracy, and partner with Sales and executives on growth.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive operations leadership in 3PL/warehousing or similar.
5+ years overseeing multi-site operations through directors or regional leaders.
Proven experience with full P&L across multiple facilities.
Track record of improving profitability, safety, and labor productivity.
Experience launching new facilities or managing major customer growth.
Strong knowledge of WMS, labor management, KPIs, and CI methodologies.

Responsibilities

Oversee multi-site warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, and logistics across six states.
Direct Directors of Operations, Operations Excellence, and Safety to ensure accountability and performance.
Maintain full P&L responsibility with focus on profitability and cost control.
Establish SOPs, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives across locations.
Drive improvements in safety, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Lead new facility startups, customer implementations, and expansions.
Collaborate with Sales and leadership on growth, pricing, and planning.
Utilize WMS, EDI, and reporting to improve visibility and forecasting.
Implement labor management strategies and productivity standards.
Develop leadership through coaching and mentorship.
