Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a General Counsel, Digital Technology & Global Security to serve as the legal partner to the GE Aerospace Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Security Officer (CSO) and supports the broader executive team on enterprise technology, cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, third-party risk, product security, artificial intelligence, and global security matters.

This role also serves as the Chief Privacy Officer for GE Aerospace.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with active bar membership.
• Minimum 10 years as a lawyer, with at least 5 years in cyber/privacy/tech.
• Experience advising senior leaders on cyber, AI, privacy, and risk matters.
• Experience developing policies, governance frameworks, and practical compliance guidance.

Responsibilities

• Advise CIO, CISO, and CDAIO on cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, and related digital technology matters.
• Lead AI governance program and develop risk-informed AI use policies and approval processes.
• Oversee AI regulatory readiness and regulatory inquiries related to AI use.
• Serve as Chief Privacy Officer and lead privacy program, incident response, and regulatory disclosures.
• Advise on global security risk, compliance initiatives, and national security matters.
• Drive legal strategy for cyber, privacy, AI, data protection, and DoD requirements across jurisdictions.
