Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a General Counsel for Digital Technology & Global Security to serve as trusted legal advisor to the CIO and CSO, guiding cyber, privacy, data protection, third-party risk, and AI initiatives across the enterprise. The role also acts as Chief Privacy Officer and leads regulatory readiness to comply with evolving AI and security standards.

The ideal candidate has a JD, 10+ years of legal experience with 5+ in cyber/privacy/tech, and a proven track record advising senior

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a lawyer, with at least 5 years in cyber/privacy/technology.
• Experience advising senior leaders on cyber, privacy, AI, and related risk matters.
• Experience developing governance frameworks and practical compliance guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal legal advisor to CIO, CSO, and related senior leaders on cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, third-party risk, product security, AI, and global security matters.
• Lead AI governance program in partnership with CDAIO, developing policies and approval processes.
• Drive AI regulatory readiness by monitoring AI laws and standards (EU AI Act, GDPR, DoD policies, NIST framework).
• Lead privacy program to ensure compliance with global regulations and manage privacy risks; advise on incident response and regulatory disclosures.
• Educate and advise senior leadership and the Board on cyber, privacy, AI, and risk matters; engage with government and industry partners.
