Job summary

Gulfstream Strategic Placements, LLC is hiring for a full-time HVAC Estimator in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on estimating, large-scale bid development, and leading the estimating team to ensure competitive and profitable proposals.

The position requires extensive experience in commercial HVAC estimation, familiarity with design/build processes, and strong MS Office/estimation software skills. A supportive benefits package and retirement options are included.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of estimating experience on large commercial HVAC projects.
• Knowledge of OSHPD and state building codes preferred.
• Plan & Spec and Design/Build project experience.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Estimating projects and major buyout of projects.
• Build effective, profitable winning bids for upcoming projects.
• Manage HVAC Estimating Department, and mentor Jr/Mid-Level HVAC Estimators.
• Coordinate with general contractors, designers and engineers on identifying changes or modifications for estimates.
• Meet with clients to develop and evaluate necessary data that needs to be gathered to complete project costs.

Requirements:

• 9+ years of Estimating field experience working on large commercial HVAC projects.
• Knowledge in: OSHPD, and other State Building Codes are preferred.
• Plan & Spec and Design/Build project experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel), Quickpen/Accubid, and/or other estimating software knowledge is a plus.
