Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising, major gifts, and grant programs. You will guide a dynamic development team, build donor relationships, and drive strategies across campaigns to advance youth programs and mission impact.

You will collaborate with the CEO, board, and advisory councils, ensuring compliance and growth while traveling to engage communities and donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proven success in fundraising, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing.
• Stellar communication and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a high-performing team.
• Willingness to travel and engage with communities frequently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Resource Development team and act as a visionary for fundraising initiatives.
• Drive strategies for major gifts, planned giving, corporate partnerships, and annual campaigns.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
• Report progress to the CEO and Board, manage donor records, and coordinate with Finance.
• Inspire and manage a team of development and grant professionals.

As the Chief Development Officer, you'll work alongside our Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and Advisory Councils, playing a key role in shaping the future of our organization. You'll lead a talented team dedicated to fundraising and grant management, and you'll engage with major donors to help ensure we continue to be a force for good in the community.

You'll also have the chance to:

• Develop innovative fundraising strategies, from major gifts to capital campaigns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporations, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of development and grant professionals.
