The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all aspects of Tides Advocacy’s financial operations, including financial strategy, planning, budgeting, reporting, investment management, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key advisor to the Board of Directors, the CFO will lead a 12-person Finance team, manage relationships with external partners such as auditors and investment managers, and ensure compliance with 501(c)(4) regulations and political reporting requirements. They will partner closely with the CEO, General Counsel, and Leadership Team to strengthen financial sustainability, drive operational effectiveness, and support fiscally sponsored projects with robust financial stewardship.
This is a full-time, remote position with preference for candidates based in San Francisco (Bay Area), New York City, Los Angeles, or Chicago. The salary range is $200,000–$230,000 annually, along with a competitive benefits package.
