The position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is to provideexpert financial management advice, and strategic leadership for theorganisation’s financial governance plans and forecasts in conjunction with ACARABoard and the Executive Leadership team (ELT) to ensure all financial, commercial,legislative, and regulatory aspects of ACARA are fully supported.

About the position:

• Provide expert financial management advice andanalysis to the ACARA Board, CEO and the Executive Director, Corporate Servicesand broader executive to enable informed, strategic financial decision making,budget development and management, and potential investment initiatives.
• Responsible for the management and delivery ofACARA’s finance functions including accounting and statutory reporting,management reporting, audit, taxation, financial operations, payroll andsystems. In addition, will also lead finance input on strategy, governance andrisk management.
• Direct the delivery of high quality strategicand operational financial performance reporting and analysis to underpineffective business planning, risk, forecasting, budgeting, cost reporting andresource management.
• Manage the financial operations and systems toensure information is reliable and ensure effective cash management,investments, and controls over transactional processes.

To be successful, you will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification, full membershipof a professional accounting body such as a Certified Practicing Accountant(CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) and demonstrated knowledge of the AustralianAccounting Standards.
• Substantial experience in providing high levelstrategic and operational leadership.
• Advanced financial modelling, analysis andreporting skills with an ability to extrapolate insights to drive businessdecisions.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting,forecasting, statutory reporting, and management accounting.

ACARA offers an attractive salary package dependent on theskills and experience of the successful candidate, commencing at $192,004 baseper annum, as a full-time equivalent (plus superannuation).
