Canton, Georgia | Hybrid | Full-Time | Executive Leadership

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

About Ubique Group

Ubique Group is a privately held furniture company serving consumer and commercial markets through a portfolio of recognized brands, digital commerce relationships, dealer and reseller networks, and direct business channels.

For more than 25 years, we have built brands and delivered furniture solutions that balance form, function, and style. Our success is powered by passionate, hardworking people who believe in our business, support one another, and contribute to the communities where we live and work.

The Opportunity

Ubique Group is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to join our executive leadership team and help lead the company through its next phase of transformation and value creation.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will translate enterprise strategy into sustainable growth, stronger cash generation, improved profitability, and increased enterprise value. This leader will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, board, ownership, lenders, and executive team.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished finance executive to influence the full business agenda while remaining close to the work. The CFO will strengthen financial visibility, protect liquidity, improve working capital and inventory performance, advance systems and controls, and build a high-performing finance organization suited to a lean and evolving business.

What You Will Lead
Strategic and Board Partnership
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, executive leadership team, board, and ownership on enterprise performance, growth, profitability, capital allocation, risk, and value creation.
  • Translate financial and operating data into clear priorities, decisions, and accountability.
  • Evaluate strategic transactions and partnerships, including business cases, due diligence, valuation, financing, negotiation, and integration planning.
  • Provide concise, decision-ready reporting to the board, lenders, and other key stakeholders.
Planning, Forecasting, and Performance
  • Lead annual planning, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario modeling, performance reporting, and investment evaluation.
  • Establish a reliable operating cadence connecting sales, margin, operating expenses, inventory, working capital, cash flow, and strategic initiatives.
  • Clearly identify trends, risks, opportunities, trade-offs, and required actions.
  • Strengthen ownership of assumptions, forecasts, and corrective actions across the business.
Treasury, Accounting, and Controls
  • Direct treasury and liquidity management, including cash forecasting, revolving credit and asset-based lending facilities, borrowing-base reporting, covenant compliance, debt service, capital structure, and lender relationships.
  • Oversee accounting, close, consolidation, financial reporting, audit, tax, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP.
  • Maintain effective enterprise risk management across financial, operational, regulatory, tax, insurance, and other material exposures.
Commercial and Operational Partnership
  • Partner with commercial leaders to improve pricing, gross-to-net revenue, customer and channel profitability, product and SKU economics, trade spending, advertising ROI, and returns on growth investments.
  • Partner with supply chain and operations to improve inventory productivity, aged and excess inventory, freight and fulfillment economics, procurement decisions, cost-to-serve visibility, and working capital.
  • Bring financial discipline and commercial insight to enterprise investments and operating decisions.
Finance Organization and Systems
  • Lead continued improvement of finance systems, data, reporting, automation, processes, and controls.
  • Optimize NetSuite and related planning and business intelligence tools.
  • Advance practical applications of automation and AI within finance and accounting.
  • Assess and develop the finance organization, clarify accountability, strengthen succession and technical capability, and build a culture of partnership, urgency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including five or more years as a CFO, divisional CFO, Vice President of Finance, or comparable senior finance leader.
  • Demonstrated ownership of FP&A, accounting, treasury, cash flow, financial reporting, audit, tax, controls, and finance-team leadership.
  • Experience leading a performance-driven organization through growth, transformation, restructuring, or value creation.
  • Strong command of working capital, inventory economics, cash forecasting, credit facilities, lender reporting, and covenant management.
  • Proven ability to turn financial and operating data into clear decisions, priorities, and accountability.
  • Experience improving financial systems, reporting, processes, and controls in a lean or evolving environment.
  • Executive-level communication and relationship skills, including experience working with boards, investors or sponsors, lenders, auditors, and senior operating leaders.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with sound enterprise judgment.
Preferred Experience
  • MBA, graduate degree, or CPA.
  • Consumer products, furniture, e-commerce, wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, retail supply chain, or another inventory-intensive business.
  • Multi-channel business models involving marketplaces, mass retail, B2B distribution, dealers, resellers, and direct business channels.
  • Global supply chains, logistics, cross-border tax, tariffs, and trade compliance.
  • Private equity or other institutional ownership.
  • NetSuite or a comparable ERP transformation.
  • Planning tools, business intelligence, finance automation, and practical application of AI.
  • Acquisitions, integrations, and bank or debt capital markets.
What Success Looks Like
  • Stronger cash generation, working capital, inventory productivity, and margin discipline.
  • Accurate and timely financial reporting supported by an efficient close, effective controls, and sound technical accounting.
  • Reliable forecasts and performance visibility with clear ownership of assumptions and corrective actions.
