The CFO will strengthen forecasting and financial visibility, protect liquidity, improve customer and product profitability, optimize working capital and inventory, advance systems and controls, and build a high-performing finance organization suited to a lean and evolving business.

What You Will Lead

Strategy and Board Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, executive leadership team, and board on enterprise performance, growth, profitability, capital allocation, risk, and value creation.
  • Evaluate strategic transactions and partnerships, including business cases, due diligence, valuation, financing, negotiation, and integration planning.

Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting

  • Lead annual planning, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario modeling, performance reporting, and investment evaluation.
  • Establish a reliable operating cadence connecting sales, margin, operating expenses, inventory, working capital, cash flow, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide concise, decision-ready reporting that identifies trends, risks, opportunities, tradeoffs, and required actions.

Treasury, Accounting, and Controls

  • Direct treasury and liquidity management, including cash forecasting, revolving credit and asset-based lending facilities, covenant compliance, borrowing-base reporting, lender relationships, debt service, and capital structure.
  • Oversee accounting, close, consolidation, financial reporting, audit, tax, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under US GAAP.
  • Maintain effective enterprise risk management across financial, operational, regulatory, tax, insurance, and other material exposures.

Commercial and Operational Partnership

  • Partner with commercial leaders to improve pricing, gross-to-net revenue, customer and channel profitability, product and SKU economics, trade spending, advertising ROI, and returns on growth investments.
  • Partner with supply chain and operations to improve inventory productivity, aged and excess inventory, freight and fulfillment economics, procurement decisions, cost-to-serve visibility, and working capital.

Finance Organization and Systems

  • Advance finance systems, data, processes, reporting, automation, and controls, including optimization of NetSuite and related planning and business intelligence tools.
  • Develop the finance organization, clarify accountability, strengthen succession and technical capability, and foster partnership, urgency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including 5+ years as a CFO, divisional CFO, VP of Finance, or in a comparable senior finance role.
  • Demonstrated ownership of FP&A, accounting, treasury, cash flow, financial reporting, audit, tax, controls, and finance team leadership.
  • Experience leading a performance-driven organization through growth, transformation, restructuring, or value creation.
  • Strong command of working capital, inventory economics, cash forecasting, credit facilities, lender reporting, and covenant management.
  • Ability to translate financial and operating data into clear decisions, priorities, and accountability across the business.
  • Experience improving financial systems, reporting, processes, and controls in a lean or evolving environment.
  • Executive-level communication and relationship skills, including experience engaging boards, investors or sponsors, lenders, auditors, and senior operating leaders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work at both strategic and detailed levels.
Preferred Experience
  • MBA, other relevant graduate degree, or CPA.
  • Consumer products, furniture, e-commerce, wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, retail supply chain, or another inventory-intensive business.
  • Multi-channel business models involving marketplaces, mass retail, B2B distribution, dealers, resellers, and direct-to-business sales.
  • Global supply chains and logistics, including cross-border tax and tariff matters.
  • Institutional or private equity ownership environments.
  • NetSuite or comparable ERP transformation, planning tools, business intelligence, automation, and practical applications of AI in finance and accounting.

  • Accurate and timely reporting, an efficient close, effective controls, and sound technical accounting.
  • Reliable cash, forecast, and performance visibility with clear ownership of assumptions and corrective actions.
  • Stronger working capital, inventory productivity, margin discipline, and customer and channel profitability.
  • Decision-ready reporting for the CEO, board, lenders, and operating leaders.
  • A capable and accountable finance team with a prioritized roadmap for systems, process, data, and automation improvements.
