Job Summary
The Sr. Manager of Pricing is the enterprise pricing leader for Ubique Group across Commercial and Etail channels. The role develops and governs pricing architecture, improves price realization and profitability, and coordinates pricing across marketplaces, Direct-to-Customer (DTC), Inside Sales, B2B resellers, dealers, and other commercial routes to market. The Sr. Manager will lead the phased evolution of Ubique's pricing strategy, building stronger structures, guardrails, analytics, tools, and ways of working over time. Partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Category, Product, Sales Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other teams, this role will balance market competitiveness with margin objectives, support strategic and day-to-day pricing decisions, and manage the complexity of products sold across multiple channels and accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Pricing Strategy & Architecture
- Own and continuously improve the enterprise pricing architecture across Etail and Commercial channels, including 1P and 3P marketplaces, DTC, Inside Sales, B2B resellers, dealers, and strategic commercial programs.
- Establish pricing structures, price bands, margin floors, channel and account rules, exception thresholds, and a reliable source of truth incorporating product cost, freight, program costs, channel economics, target margins, and current prices.
- Translate company strategy, cost changes, market conditions, inventory priorities, and profitability goals into actionable pricing recommendations by product, category, channel, and account.
- Partner with Category on new-product and category pricing to ensure proposed market positions fit Ubique's pricing structures, economics, margin requirements, channel rules, and governance; support post-launch reviews and adjustments.
Channel Strategy & Conflict Management
- Define and administer channel-priority rules and acceptable pricing relationships for products sold across Etail, Commercial, and account-specific structures.
- Identify and resolve cross-channel pricing conflicts that could erode margin, create inconsistent customer economics, undermine dealer or reseller relationships, or weaken Ubique's market position.
- Evaluate Etail and Commercial pricing on a true economic basis, including freight and program costs, and recommend corrective actions when channel or margin gaps exceed approved parameters.
- Partner with Etail, Commercial Account Management, DTC/Inside Sales, and Business Development leaders on channel-specific issues, account structures, marketplace dynamics, dealer economics, and required escalations.
Commercial Deal, Bid & Contract Pricing
- Lead pricing analysis and recommendations for complex commercial opportunities, including strategic reseller programs, dealer opportunities, large projects, customer-specific agreements, renewals, and negotiated pricing.
- Support RFPs, bids, state and local contracts, cooperative agreements, GPOs, buying groups, contract vehicles, and other institutional opportunities with disciplined pricing and profitability analysis.
- Develop and administer a consistent deal-pricing methodology, including product cost, freight, rebates, program fees, returns, expected volume, contract duration, competitive position, target and floor margins, approval thresholds, and exceptions.
- Partner with Sales Operations and the Quote Desk to embed pricing rules and approval workflows into quoting and deal processes, and use win/loss and renewal results to improve future pricing guidance.
Etail Pricing & Promotion Governance
- Lead everyday pricing strategy across major Etail accounts and marketplaces, incorporating historical performance, market pricing, competitive position, 1P/3P economics, cost changes, and margin objectives.
- Establish promotion guardrails and coordinate the cross-channel pricing implications of Etail promotions, particularly for products that also serve Commercial customers.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing on promotional pricing strategies and calendars that support growth without undermining everyday pricing, customer agreements, dealer economics, or company margin goals.
- Track pricing and promotion performance, including price realization, volume and margin impact, and post-event behavior; ensure approved changes are communicated and executed through the appropriate processes.
Pricing Analytics, Governance & Transformation
- Develop dashboards and recurring analyses that provide visibility to margin health, price realization, channel gaps, market position, pricing exceptions, and the highest-value revenue and gross-margin opportunities.
- Prioritize pricing actions and manage a disciplined operating rhythm for price reviews, promotions, channel gaps, exceptions, and updates to pricing architecture and guardrails.
- Develop and administer decision rights and approval thresholds for routine pricing, promotions, below-floor exceptions, liquidation activity, and commercial deals; provide senior leadership with clear, fact-based recommendations and updates.
- Lead the phased evolution of Ubique's pricing capabilities, translating strategy into increasingly scalable processes, governance, tools, milestones, and measurable outcomes over time.
- Improve pricing data quality, documentation, automation, and technology; reduce reliance on fragmented spreadsheets and manual processes while maintaining appropriate controls.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships and develop SOPs, training, tools, and decision support that enable Sales, Category, and other teams to operate confidently within approved pricing structures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial finance, sales operations, merchandising, including complex pricing work across multiple channels or customer segments.
- Demonstrated experience with pricing strategy, governance, price architecture, margin guardrails, and multi-channel dynamics across marketplaces, B2B resellers, dealers, direct sales, and customer-specific agreements.
- Experience supporting complex commercial pricing, including negotiated deals, RFPs, bids, contracts, rebates, program fees, freight economics, and other cost-to-serve considerations.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen with the ability to evaluate price, volume, margin, cost, freight, and program economics at the SKU, account, category, and channel levels.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capability and comfort with large data sets, pricing models, business intelligence tools, and enterprise systems.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and executive-level communication, and to lead through influence in a highly cross-functional environment.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in furniture, distribution, wholesale, retail, eCommerce, consumer products, or another business with significant SKU and channel complexity.
- Experience with major Etail/marketplace partners and commercial channels, including 1P/3P dynamics, resellers, dealer networks, contract pricing, public-sector procurement, GPOs, or cooperative agreements.
- Experience implementing or administering pricing platforms, CPQ/deal-pricing tools, competitive‑intelligence solutions, or pricing transformation initiatives.

- Company-paid life insurance and Employee Assistance Program.
- 401(k) with company match.
