Job summary

The Sun Rose West Hollywood is seeking a Chief Engineer to supervise the property’s preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor life safety systems and utilities, and administer the department in line with HEI Hotels & Resorts standards.

You will oversee mechanical/electrical systems, FF&E, grounds, and pools, manage engineering capital projects, keep accurate budgets and records, and lead a team to deliver reliable, safe operations across the hotel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable location.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventive maintenance and repairs of hotel assets.
• Monitor life safety systems, utilities, and compliance with codes.
• Manage engineering capital projects and financials.
• Direct and train engineering staff to ensure high productivity.
• Maintain accurate records for budgets, PM programs, and inspections.
