Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood is seeking a Director of Engineering and Facilities to lead operations, maintenance, safety, and continual improvement of the hotel and its systems. This role drives a disciplined preventive-maintenance culture, capital planning, and sustainability initiatives to enhance guest experience and asset longevity.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, controls, boilers, pumps, kitchen equipment, pools/spas, fire/life-safety systems.
• Experience proactively identifying facility needs, budgeting, managing projects/vendors, and communicating technical issues.
• Education: associate/bachelor’s in engineering or related field preferred; seven+ years hotel/large-building engineering experience.
• Knowledge of safety codes, inspections, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and facilities operations for a luxury hotel; oversee preventive maintenance, safety, and guest-focused infrastructure.
• Develop and manage capital improvement plans, budgets, and capital-project execution from planning to closeout.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and compliance; supervise engineering staff and ensure training and safety protocols.
