Job summary

The Sun Rose West Hollywood is seeking a Director of Engineering to supervise preventive maintenance of all property systems, monitor life safety and utilities, and ensure compliance with corporate/franchise standards and local codes.

Responsibilities include managing engineering related capital projects, maintaining mechanical/electrical equipment, and leading the engineering team to deliver reliable service to guests and staff while controlling expenses.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling or trade certification in building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• 3+ years hands-on experience at a comparable hotel or large property.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, budgeting, and life safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance of all property systems (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety).
• Monitor life safety systems and utilities; ensure compliance with codes and brand standards.
• Manage engineering related capital projects and maintain accurate maintenance records and budgets.
• Lead, train, and supervise engineering staff to maximize productivity and service quality.
