Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to lead maintenance operations for a premium hotel property. You will oversee preventive maintenance, life safety, and utility systems while directing a team of engineers and coordinating with other departments to protect guests and assets.

The role emphasizes budget control, project management, and adherence to brand standards, with a focus on safe, efficient, and reliable facilities management.

Qualifications

• Experience in building related trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Hands-on management of preventive maintenance and repairs in a hotel environment.
• Ability to supervise, train, and develop engineering staff; manage budgets and inventories.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor life safety systems and utilities; administer department in compliance with codes and brand standards.
• Manage engineering-related capital projects and ensure upkeep of mechanical/electrical systems and FF&E.
