Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance and ensure guest service standards across the property. You will supervise engineering staff, manage safety programs, and oversee preventative maintenance to maximize reliability.

Coordinate with vendors, oversee small projects and Property Improvement Plans, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with local codes while upholding EarthView sustainability guidelines and brand expectations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade school training preferred.
• Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required.
• HVAC certification required.
• Other certifications may be required based on local needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach associates to meet brand standards and HHM values.
• Manage bids, quotes, and contracts for third-party vendors.
• Oversee small projects and Property Improvement Plans (PIPs).
• Perform and supervise repairs on electrical/plumbing fixtures and carpentry.
• Troubleshoot kitchen equipment and HVAC pumps; install televisions.
• Maintain PM records and test life safety systems for 100% operation.
• Coordinate service contracts to meet codes.
• Maintain building exterior and curb appeal per EarthView guidelines.
• Ensure safe work practices following MSDS and OSHA to raise guest scores.
