Job summary

Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood seeks a Director of Engineering and Facilities to lead operations, maintenance, safety, and continual improvement of the hotel and its assets. You will anticipate needs, drive preventive maintenance, and manage capital and sustainability initiatives to enhance guest experience.

The role oversees all physical components, leads a team, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with hotel leadership to deliver luxury service and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, construction management, building systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum seven years in hotel, resort, or large building engineering, with five+ years leading a team.
• Experience with PM programs, budgets, vendor management, plans and specs, and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership for all hotel engineering and facilities operations 24/7.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
• Lead capital projects from concept to closeout, including design, permitting, bidding, and commissioning.
• Prepare concise facility reports for General Manager and ownership with actionable recommendations.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high standards of guest comfort and luxury presentation.
