Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Chief Engineer in Reno, NV. You will lead the engineering team to safely operate all building systems, ensure 100% uptime, and protect asset value through reliability-centered maintenance.

You will manage contractors, drive safety training, and align with client needs while coordinating with site leadership. The role requires 5–8 years of related experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and EPA/CFC certification.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of related experience in roles like Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer.
• Proven people management experience and leadership.
• Trade school education or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequent climb, bend, kneel, lift and drive.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, data and lighting systems.
• Develop documented preventive, corrective and reliability maintenance plans.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Ensure safety training and compliance with regulations.
• Lead and develop engineering staff and manage Site staff and contractors.
• Support capital projects and provide operations input for reliability improvements.
