Job summary

LaGuardia Community College seeks a visionary Chief Diversity Officer to lead the Office of Diversity and Compliance, guiding EEO/AA, Title IX, and related regulatory programs across the campus.

Reporting to the President, the CDO will develop and implement policies, train staff and faculty, coordinate investigations, and collaborate with Legal Affairs, HR, Public Safety, and campus groups to foster an inclusive, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight years' relevant experience required.
• Juris Doctorate with NY bar; higher education or employment law preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred; experience in investigations in higher education is a plus.
• Familiarity with Title VI, VII, IX, NY Human Rights Law, and related regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the College's Office of Diversity and Compliance and lead DEI initiatives.
• Investigate complaints under Title VI, VII, 504, and related laws.
• Coordinate education, training workshops on EEO issues, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare internal and external reports on EEO/AA efforts and accomplishments.
• Collaborate with Legal Affairs, HR and Public Safety to ensure compliance with CUNY mandates.
