The City University of New York (CUNY) seeks a Higher Education Officer to lead its Center for Inclusivity and Equal Opportunity, overseeing diversity management and compliance programs across the university. The Center for Inclusivity and Equal Opportunity (“CIEO” or “Center”) was established by the Board of Trustees and the Chancellor for the City University of New York (“CUNY” or the “University”) in June 2024, as part of CUNY’s ongoing efforts to combat discrimination and harassment, and CUNY’s ongoing efforts to continuously foster understanding amongst our diverse community members. The Center is responsible for: systemwide report management and compliance pertaining to discrimination and harassment, policy review, development, and implementation of all CUNY policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment, regular and comprehensive training and orientation for administrators implementing CUNY’s policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment, systemwide educational programming addressing discrimination and harassment, and monitoring and analyzing discrimination and harassment data obtained from all 26 campuses in the CUNY system and from the Central Office. The goal of the Center is to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the CUNY community, including discrimination and harassment that violates Title II, Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and associated federal, state, and local civil rights laws.

The salary range is $150,770 - $160,827 , commensurate with credentials, education, and experience.
