Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve the enterprise Developer Experience across its software platforms and tooling. You will drive strategy, roadmaps, and an operating model with a focus on consolidating tooling, enabling AI-native development, and delivering measurable improvements in developer productivity.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise technology leader with global scale experience.
• 15+ years in technology leadership for engineering platforms or shared services.
• Held tooling decision rights with divisional CTOs; able to balance risk, cost, and UX.
• Owned production platform lifecycle: design, source control, CI/CD, artifacts, dev environments, security tooling.
• Led consolidation of toolchains across units with minimal delivery disruption.

Responsibilities

• Set the enterprise Developer Experience strategy, vision, roadmap, and investment priorities.
• Own lifecycle of enterprise software development platforms and tools (SCM, CI/CD, dev environments, security tooling).
• Manage toolchain portfolio with defined outcomes, SLAs, adoption goals, and cost transparency.
• Build partnerships with divisional CTOs and engineers to align standards with business needs.
• Lead consolidation of fragmented tooling and automate where possible.
• Establish scalable developer support and self-service ecosystem (portals, onboarding, licensing).
• Oversee InnerSource and open-source governance for reuse across divisions.
• Define AI-native engineering approach with guardrails, model access, and reusable workflows.
• Create enterprise measurement for productivity (DORA metrics, adoption, ROI).
• Lead a global organization across platform engineering, product management, support, data/analytics, and AI engineering.
• Maintain operational rigor, security, resilience, finance governance, and vendor management.
