Job summary

InterSystems, a data technology provider, seeks an experienced engineering manager to lead Platform Engineering building internal platforms that power software development across the company.

You will guide developers building modern build systems, tooling, cloud-native infrastructure, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities that improve developer productivity, platform reliability, and software delivery while partnering across the organization to accelerate engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, build systems, developer tooling, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the company's Platform Engineering capabilities to enable faster, more secure, and more reliable software delivery.
• Drive modernization of build systems, developer tooling, CI/CD, release automation, and Software Factory capabilities.
• Champion cloud-native architectures, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and engineering best practices.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-driven capabilities that improve developer productivity, software delivery, and engineering workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance while empowering engineers to own implementation details.
