Job summary

Breakwater Capital Markets is seeking a senior leader to serve as Head of Advisory, responsible for setting strategic direction, accelerating growth, and delivering exceptional capital markets advisory work for clients.

You will counsel CEOs, CFOs, boards, and investor relations leaders, shape the advisory agenda, lead business development, and build a high‑performing team across market-facing engagements and investor communications.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in capital markets advisory or closely related fields.
• Proven track record advising CEOs, CFOs, boards, and senior executives on high-stakes matters.
• Deep understanding of public equity markets, investor behavior, and market valuation.
• Experience developing equity narratives and strategic investor communications.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA/CFA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the strategic direction of Breakwater Capital Markets' advisory business.
• Build and scale a premium advisory platform integrating capital markets expertise, analysis, and investor intelligence.
• Oversee development of equity narratives, investor engagement strategy, and major investor-facing events.
• Set standards for advisory excellence and client service at the highest level.
• Identify opportunities to expand capabilities, including new offerings and methodologies.
• Lead business development and relationships, shaping the firm's advisory strategy and growth.
