Job summary

Beacon Mobility is contracted to support Chicago Public Schools with routing and dispatch operations. The CPS Contract Router role focuses on scheduling, staffing, and route adjustments to keep daily operations smooth and on time.

You will pre-assign routes, monitor performance, and provide on-the-floor support for drivers and dispatchers while maintaining compliance with policies and producing routine reports.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in transportation, dispatch, or routing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
• Experience with routing software ISI highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
• Problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts or operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Communication & Scheduling: check and respond to emails and messages; adjust driver call-offs and staffing as needed.
• Routing & Optimization: make route changes in ISI; monitor efficiency and pre-assign routes for the next four business days.
• Coordination & Support: answer calls professionally and relay time adjustments via Teams or email; assist drivers and dispatchers with issues.
• Compliance & Reporting: maintain records of route assignments and changes; ensure policy compliance and prepare reports for management.
