Job summary

HireNow Staffing is seeking a seasoned Global Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join a client partner. The role focuses on building relationships, expanding international shipping, and driving revenue in air, ocean, and multimodal logistics.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in global logistics sales with strong knowledge of shipping docs, customs, and Incoterms. Onsite in Chicago with US work authorization; salary range $50k–$75k plus commission.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or global transportation sales.
• Strong knowledge of air/ocean freight and global supply chain operations.
• Experience with international shipping docs, customs, and import/export processes.
• Proven success in developing new business and meeting sales goals.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage decision-makers at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop new international freight forwarding business through prospecting and relationships.
• Grow an existing portfolio and identify opportunities for expanded services.
• Consult with customers on shipping requirements and cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare competitive quotations, pricing proposals, and service agreements.
• Negotiate freight rates and coordinate with operations for profitable solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Maintain relationships with importers/exporters and supply chain decision-makers.
• Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain CRM records, pipeline activity, and revenue reporting.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to promote long-term retention.
