Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Crete, IL is seeking a Chemistry Technician to perform chemical analyses on food, pharmaceutical or other samples, contributing to a safe and quality-driven laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include grinding samples, preparing standards, performing protein, moisture, fat, and ash analyses, maintaining records in the LIMS, and ensuring turnaround times while upholding safety policies. This is a full-time, on-site role with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of chemistry to perform testing procedures and obtain accurate results.
• Analytical skills are essential to complete analysis procedures and determine concentrations.
• General knowledge of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is required to process client data.
• Physical dexterity is required for manipulating samples.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analyses of samples (protein, moisture, fat, ash, etc.).
• Prepare samples and reagents; label samples for tracking and data entry.
• Maintain logs, transfer data, and ensure quality records in LIMS.
