Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences is seeking a Lab Assistant for the Crete Analytical Laboratory in Crete, IL. The role focuses on maintaining a clean and safe lab, supporting routine testing, and ensuring proper storage and disposal of materials.

You will work under supervision, learn LIMS use, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives while supporting team operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level lab position requiring ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic knowledge of quality and safety procedures in a laboratory.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe working environment in the laboratory.
• Assist with routine testing procedures as directed by leadership.
• Stock and store chemicals and supplies and dispose of waste properly.
• Perform basic quality control checks and assist with audits.
