Job summary

Penn State Health in Reading, PA, is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist - Chemistry for night shifts. You will work under minimal supervision to perform and report analyses per physician orders, ensuring compliance with FDA, CAP, CLIA, and related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• Must show proof of eligibility for ASCP, ASCPi, AMT or equivalent board certification.
• Must be Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist certified within 18 months of hire.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of clinical lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal supervision, perform and report all test analyses according to physician orders and lab policies.
• Process specimens, perform tests, and maintain test results in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Apply professional judgment for complex procedures to support accurate patient diagnoses.

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
