Job summary

Phoenixville Hospital - Tower Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for a PRN night shift role with hours from 10:30pm to 7am. The position requires 1 weekend per month along with 1 winter and 1 summer holiday.

The successful candidate will perform clinical laboratory tests, ensure quality control, and manage specimens independently. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science and eligibility for ASCP or AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of experience.
• ASCP or AMT Eligible.

Job Summary

Medical Laboratory Scientist needed for PRN night shift at Phoenixville Hospital. Hours: 10:30pm–7am with 1 weekend per month and 1 winter and 1 summer holiday required.

Responsibilities

The MLS obtains or receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principles, performs quality control, performs preventive maintenance, and interprets results accurately, acceptably, and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizes work to meet established deadlines, and validates all data obtained.

Night Shift Hours

Hours are 10:30pm–7am with 1 weekend per month and 1 winter and 1 summer holiday required.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science or equivalent; or completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program; or MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Experience

• Prefer 1 year of experience.

Certification and Licensure

• ASCP or AMT Eligible.
