Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with required chemistry/biology coursework and eligibility for certification exam (ASCP, AMT, ACHI or equivalent).
• Certification as Medical Lab Technician must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
• Applicants trained outside the United States must provide CLIA-equivalency documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues.
• Identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms; analyze chemical content of fluids; cross match blood for transfusion and organ transplantation; aseptically prepare cells for cellular therapies.
