A regional healthcare system located in Chester County is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform clinical laboratory tests and validate results. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science or a relevant field and must be ASCP or AMT Eligible. Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits.

The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical/medical laboratory science OR a Bachelors in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program, OR MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree

Experience

• Prefer 1 year of experience

Certification and Licensure

• ASCP or AMT Eligible
