Qualifications include an associate degree in Laboratory Science or related field or equivalent military training, with certification eligibility (ASCP/AMT) and MLT certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology or be a high school graduate with a 50-week military medical laboratory procedures course and Medical Laboratory Specialist background.
• Must be eligible for ASCP, AMT or equivalent board certification; MLT certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells and tissues under minimal supervision.
• Conduct standardized microscopic, chemical and bacteriological testing in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure test results aid diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
