Job Title: Chemical Technician

Pay Rate: $27.50/hour (Based on experience)

Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Location: Branchburg, NJ 08875

Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanent hire

Note: A physical exam will be required

Position Summary

Sirius Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Chemical Manufacturing Technician to support production operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will manufacture or evaluate chemical products according to established protocols, provide technical support, and assist with daily operations. This is a hands-on position with potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vessels, tanks, dryers, and laboratory equipment safely and efficiently
• Charge solids, liquids, and gases into processing equipment
• Monitor chemical reactions using lab instruments and distributed control systems
• Perform distillations, filtrations, extractions, and recrystallizations to isolate and purify products
• Safely handle and dispose of materials and waste in compliance with environmental and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation in lab notebooks, batch records, logs, and checklists in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Follow all SOPs, MPRs, cGMP, ISO standards, and change control procedures
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage inventory of consumables and ensure proper labeling and storage of materials and equipment
• Communicate production updates and needs during shift changes
• Conduct in-process testing and perform basic analytical evaluations
• Utilize SAP and related equipment tracking systems
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, and actively participate in safety initiatives and investigations

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to chemicals and PPE usage

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a chemistry-related or manufacturing environment

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic chemical processes
• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks (PIT)
• Proficiency in basic math and computer systems (e.g., SAP, MS Office)
• Comfortable working with lab instrumentation and hand tools
