Job description

***While this position is remote, candidates must live in Florida***

The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, prioritizing safety. The role involves troubleshooting to resolve customer issues and optimize our solutions' performance. The FST will serve as the primary representative at concrete manufacturing plants, installing and maintaining admixture dispensing systems for Ready-Mix producers.

The technician will regularly interact with plant management, batch plant operators, and personnel. Based at home, the candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time at customer sites, often working independently. Schedule flexibility is essential, with field visits potentially scheduled late at night or early morning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Includes installation, preventive and scheduled maintenance, calibration, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting of admixture dispensing equipment.
2. Customer Relations: Building professional relationships through regular site visits, assisting in customer contract maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
3. Planning & Scheduling: Diagnosing requirements, planning daily/weekly/monthly activities, managing response times, and providing on-site technical support.
4. Equipment Service Administration: Managing equipment orders, parts re-stocking, expense reports, CRM reporting, and ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules.
5. Other Duties: Completing safety training, understanding concrete industry operations, recommending equipment modifications, and collaborating with R&D for product improvements.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6+ years of mechanical/engineering experience (additional education counts as experience)
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Hands-on electro-mechanical aptitude

Preferred:

• Experience in field service work or trailer hauling
• Knowledge of the Ready-Mix concrete industry
