Reporting Line

Sales Manager, East Region

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop effective sales strategies and lead marketing and sales activities within the assigned industry segment. You will help grow the Chemical market for ABB Instrumentation by collaborating with global teams on value messaging and aligning our go-to-market approach with customer voices. Building relationships with key external influencers and customers is essential. You will drive cross-division and cross-region collaboration to achieve sales targets related to products, systems, and services, ensuring sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and coach the sales team to meet sales goals through high performance.

The work model for this role is remote. (#LI-remote)
This position contributes to the Process Automation, Measurement & Analytics Division.

Main Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and address performance shortfalls.
  • Evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers, planning and resource allocation.
  • Plan and execute customer surveys, acting on feedback to improve satisfaction.
  • Participate in negotiating key contracts.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Experience in direct-to-end customer sales or service required.
  • 8+ years of sales, related experience, or education preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% to visit customers.
  • Must have valid work authorization for ABB in the US.
