Chemical Segment Sales Manager

Reporting To: Sales Manager, East Region

Your Role and Responsibilities

This role offers an opportunity to develop and implement effective sales strategies, leading marketing and sales activities within the assigned industry segment. You will help grow the Chemical market for ABB Instrumentation by collaborating with global teams on value messaging and aligning our go-to-market approach with customer voices. Building relationships with key external influencers and customers, you will foster cross-division and cross-region collaboration to achieve sales targets, ensuring sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will also lead, develop, and coach the sales team to meet and exceed sales objectives.

The work model for this role is remote. (#LI-remote)

This position contributes to the Process Automation, Measurement & Analytics Division.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and address performance shortfalls.
  • Evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers, planning and resource allocation.
  • Conduct customer surveys and act on feedback to enhance satisfaction.
  • Participate in key contract negotiations.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Experience in direct-to-end customer sales or services.
  • 8+ years in sales, related experience, or education preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Willing to travel up to 60% for customer visits.
  • Must have valid work authorization for ABB in the US.
