Reporting To

Sales Manager, East Region

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop effective sales strategies and lead marketing and sales activities—products and services—in the designated industry segment. You will help grow the Chemical market for ABB Instrumentation by collaborating with global teams on value messaging and aligning our go-to-market approach with customer insights. Building relationships with key external influencers and customers is essential. You will drive cross-division and cross-region collaboration to meet sales targets, ensuring sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will lead, develop, and coach the sales team—including other managers and specialists—to achieve high performance.

The work model for this role is remote (#LI-remote). It contributes to the Process Automation, Measurement & Analytics Division.

Main Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and address performance shortfalls with remedial actions.
  • Evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers, plan implementation, and allocate resources.
  • Plan and execute customer surveys, acting on feedback to enhance satisfaction.
  • Participate in key contract negotiations.
  • Join a dynamic, high-performing team where you can thrive.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Experience in direct-to-end customer sales or services required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in sales or related fields preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% for customer visits.
  • Must have legal work authorization for ABB in the US.
