Chemical Segment Sales Manager

Reporting To: Sales Manager, East Region

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop effective sales strategies and lead marketing and sales activities within the assigned industry segment. You will help grow the Chemical market for ABB Instrumentation by working with global teams on value messaging and aligning our go-to-market approach with customer voices. Building relationships with key external influencers and customers, you will drive collaboration across divisions and regions to achieve sales targets, ensuring sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also lead, develop, and coach the sales team to achieve high performance.

The work model for this role is remote. (#LI-remote)

This position contributes to the Process Automation, Measurement & Analytics Division.

Main Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and address performance shortfalls.
  • Evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers and plan resource allocation.
  • Plan and execute customer surveys, acting on feedback to improve satisfaction.
  • Participate in key contract negotiations.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Experience in direct-to-end customer sales or service required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Industry experience relevant to the role.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% for customer visits.
  • Must have valid work authorization for ABB in the US.
