Job summary

PPG is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to act as the technical lead for reactor systems at the Circleville, Ohio facility. This onsite role reports to the Process Engineering Manager and focuses on delivering safe, quality production.

You will monitor manufacturing methods, lead reactor operations, and scale up new products while applying Lean principles to meet cost and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Understanding of polymer/organic chemistry.
• Knowledge of unit operations and plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve manufacturing methods from raw material to delivery.
• Lead reactor systems operations to meet safety and quality standards.
• Scale up new products and ensure quality systems for changes.
• Apply Lean to find opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain production logs for safe, quality production.
• Complete daily technical review of production batches.
• Support training programs for operators and department staff.
