Job summary

Capital Resin Corporation is seeking a Chemical/Production Engineer to support engineering, design, and safe operation of production systems in Columbus, OH. You will work under the Engineering Manager to optimize process performance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
  • 5–10+ years of chemical plant engineering experience.
  • PSM (Process Safety Management) experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD LT experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support and technical expertise for the assigned process system, investigating issues affecting product quality, downtime, and equipment performance.
  • Identify cost reduction and reliability opportunities across production systems.
  • Support quality and R&D teams with data, new product implementation, and audits.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain PSM documentation for assigned processes.
  • Analyze long-term equipment reliability using plant data and process metrics.
  • Provide engineering support to contractors and maintenance for repairs, modifications, and installations.
  • Assist in developing new products and optimizing existing ones.
