Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Operator in Orange, Texas within Sabine River Operations (SRO). In this role, you will operate plant equipment safely and reliably, work with the shift team to resolve issues, and escalate where needed to maintain performance.

You will also mentor others and participate in training and emergency response activities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in chemical operations or 3+ years in the military, and a valid US driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in an Operations role within a chemical manufacturing environment, or 3+ years of military experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, including holidays and weekends.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Follow Operating Discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems to meet plant goals.
• Join on-site Emergency Response Team and complete required training.
• Conduct shift relief and handoffs to ensure seamless team communication.
• Identify improvements and manage changes to enhance plant performance.
• Maintain qualifications and complete training goals in a timely manner.
• Mentor operations personnel on processes, troubleshooting and safety.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks arising from events.
• Respond to Immediate/Severe Weather events as assigned.
