Job summary

AdvanSix in Virginia is seeking a manufacturing professional to operate and monitor caprolactam processing lines, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in a high-tempo chemical plant. You will work an 8-hour rotating shift, collaborate in a team, perform minor maintenance, and follow SOPs while protecting environmental standards.

A minimum high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in manufacturing or an technical degree are required; proficiency with Word and Excel and ability to pass

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical or science related field.
• Must be willing and able to work an 8-hour rotating shift environment that includes holidays, weekends, and required overtime.
• Proficiency with a computer, including programs such as Word and Excel.
• Must be able to complete a background check and drug test successfully.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Team-oriented and able to work with others.
• Must meet minimum physical requirements to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of caprolactam conversion processes and related operations.
• Control multiple utility systems to support operations.
• Monitor process data and adjust equipment to ensure quality and SOP compliance.
• Maintain safety standards and follow emergency procedures.
• Prevent spills and protect the environment as part of daily duties.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.
